Back in the 'blene
Let's pretend that I didn't say 'blene. Ha, it's nice to back on campus. I arrived last Thursday to about 75 degree weather, which was very nice. By Saturday it was in the 20's and with windchill I just didn't want to go outside. Lots of ice. Lots of no one here for a while. School starts tomorrow. I'm pretty excited.
I began writing addresses and writing letters, which I am excited about yet once again the daunting (sp?) task of putting what's in my head to something readable on paper stands before me as I am ever reminded that my science/math skills want no part of this writing business (am I complaining on a blog about writing, I apologize). It really is exciting though to see all the names and all the community that I have a lot of love in. Just coming across names can be a powerful thing, it's nice.
I think I may get back into the routine of writing a little something-something on here hopefully. The resident life had a mandatory devotional last night, which makes me chuckle, but of course it blew me away. I think I take the daily meetings and things of that nature around ACU for granted so much and each time have my eyes opened yet again to how powerful time spent around God, with God and to God can be. Being an RA promises once again to be an interesting and growing experience this semester. CJ Pierson is also back from studying abroad and it's nice to have my partner in crime back on campus.
I think that's all for now. Please throw up a prayer for Brad, Garrett and me if you would. I can't begin to tell you how promising Russia sounds just hearing how God is stirring the hearts of the people there. Have a energetic day!
