The Big D
I was in Dallas this weekend with Katie and CJ to do Switchfoot part two. Switchfoot was amazing even after seeing them only a week ago in Buffalo.
However, I wanted to comment on going to church with Jessica and Ryan Looney Sunday morning. The pastor made a comment that if you are dating you should be in a relationship with people who are young and married. If you are young and married you should be in a relationship with a family with young children. If you have young children you should be in relationship with a family including teens. This makes sense. Of course this can relate to other aspects of life needing mentorship not soley family . . . it was yet again another reminder of how important it is to seek wisdom and knowledge from those a few steps ahead of you.
It just makes sense.
(and of course since the whole process involves being in relationships I give it two thumbs up)

We loved having yall here! We give two thumbs up on the sassy girlfriend. We are totally in whole-heart agreement on mentoring. Not only has it shaped our marriage but Ryan and I as individuals. We would love to be the "next step" mentors for anyone that you know...they can come chill in Plano for a weekend :)Take care of my crazy brother! Come back anytime...Jes and Ryan
